Founder & Lead Designer
Anne Lofton is the heart behind Velvet Magnolia. As Founder and Lead Designer, she’s spent the last five years curating more than just furniture and décor—she’s built an experience defined by style, warmth, and a little bit of fun.
With a background in custom home building and extensive remodels, Anne brings a keen eye for design and a passion for creating spaces that feel both elevated and inviting. Whether she’s sourcing unique pieces, overseeing the latest floor set, or collaborating on a full-scale design project, Anne’s approach is always rooted in creativity and connection.
Ask her what truly makes Velvet Magnolia special, and she’ll tell you: “My staff is the best.” Her laid-back, go-with-the-flow attitude has shaped a culture where design is serious—but the atmosphere stays light and welcoming.
When she’s not at the store, you’ll find Anne soaking up the sun on a beach, enjoying the ranch in the fall, or dreaming about adopting every animal she meets.

Madison has been with Velvet Magnolia since day one—literally. For the past four years, she’s been the heart of daily operations, keeping everything running smoothly and looking flawless. From opening the doors each morning to perfectly placing every vase and pillow, Madison ensures the showroom always feels curated and inviting.
She manages inventory, coordinates special orders, and helps customers turn design dreams into reality—whether it’s finding the perfect dining table or styling an entire living room. With a degree from Texas A&M and mentorship under Anne Lofton, Madison brings both expertise and energy to every project. Known for her cheerful, outgoing personality, Madison loves keeping things organized (seriously—closets, pantries, even the garage). When she’s not at VM, you’ll find her binge-watching her favorite shows, walking her dogs, hitting the beach, or shopping for her next great find.
If Velvet Magnolia were a cocktail, Madison would be the tequila and the lime—essential, vibrant, and bringing all the flavor.
