Job Summary: Velvet Magnolia Furniture Store is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Floor Sales/Customer Service Associate to join our team. In this role, you will create a welcoming shopping experience, assist customers in selecting high-quality furniture and home décor, and provide exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. As a key member of our sales team, you will help drive sales, maintain a beautifully curated showroom, and contribute to the overall success of Velvet Magnolia.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and provide personalized furniture and design recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.

Sales Support:

Actively engage in selling furniture and home décor, meeting or exceeding sales goals while promoting Velvet Magnolia’s unique style and quality.

Product Knowledge:

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Velvet Magnolia’s product offerings, including furniture styles, materials, customization options, and pricing.

Showroom Maintenance:

Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing, reflecting Velvet Magnolia’s brand aesthetic. Assist with merchandising displays and inventory restocking.

Customer Service:

Address customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and process transactions accurately using the store’s POS system. Follow up on customer orders and deliveries as needed.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with team members, including designers and warehouse staff, to ensure seamless customer experiences from selection to delivery.

Upselling & Promotions:

Promote special offers, financing options, and complementary products to enhance customer purchases and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred, ideally in furniture, home décor, or a related industry.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building rapport and understanding customer needs.

Passion for Design:

Enthusiasm for furniture, interior design, and home décor, with an ability to align with Velvet Magnolia’s sophisticated and inviting brand.

Adaptability:

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle customer concerns with professionalism.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills. Ability to learn inventory and order management systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods, move furniture for display purposes, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Availability:

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the store.
